When Every Second Counts: Alia International Hospital Becomes an American Heart Association Training Center in Kuwait

KUWAIT — Immediate bystander CPR can double, even triple, a person’s chance of survival; yet fewer than half of people who suffer cardiac arrest outside a hospital receive that help before paramedics arrive. That gap — between what a trained hand could do and what usually happens when no one nearby knows how — is exactly what Alia International Hospital (AIH) is working to close.

AIH is proud to announce it is now an official American Heart Association Training Center in Kuwait, authorized to deliver internationally accredited life-support education to both healthcare professionals and the wider community.

For healthcare professionals:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• ACLS – HeartCode (blended e-learning + hands-on skills session)

• Heartsaver® CPR & AED

Every certification is approved by the Kuwait Ministry of Health, issued same-day, and valid for two years — taught by certified AHA instructors through hands-on simulation rather than passive lectures, with flexible scheduling built for real working lives.

The ACLS and BLS tracks are designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics, dentists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals. But cardiac arrest doesn’t wait for a hospital; it happens in schools, gyms, malls, and living rooms. That’s why the Heartsaver and First Aid tracks are open to parents, teachers, coaches, corporate teams, and security staff — anyone who wants the confidence to act instead of freeze.
